Meet Brooke Fluegge, a Client Advisor who has been working here at The Mailworks for over two years. Find out something surprising about her, her favorite place she’s ever traveled, and the person who has inspired her the most.
What is something surprising about you that many people might not know?
Only the few people who know me well know that I love alternative rock music. I am absolutely obsessed with the band Third Eye Blind. I’ve seen them over 15 times in concert and traveled states to see them perform. I met the main singer, Stephan Jenkins when they came to Saratoga Performing Arts Center a few years back and I was literally speechless (which is not normal for me!). I even have a matching tattoo with my mom and sister of a line from one of their songs, “deeper than bones”, on my ribs!
What is your favorite thing about working at The Mailworks?
The people who work here! We have such a range of personalities at The Mailworks and I love how everyone’s different but we have one thing in common, hard working!
What do you do on a typical weekend?
I am always looking up new restaurants to try. I am not a picky eater. I love trying new food! I enjoy seeing the different interior design work of places. I try to figure out what theme or style they are going for and see if that shows in their food.
What is your best piece of career advice?
Growing up my dad, drilled into my head the saying, “What you do today affects tomorrow” it literally could apply to anything and I like that. I try to think of whatever I’m doing in the present, will I be satisfied by it in my future.
Where is your favorite place you’ve ever traveled to?
St Petersburg, Florida. We ended up here on a mystery trip through the company Pack Up And Go and ever since then I made it a rule to visit every year! It’s awesome! I absolutely love the street art, the food and culture there.
How would you describe The Mailworks culture in 3 words?
Fast paced, friendly, hard workers!
What person, fictional or real, has inspired you the most?
My parents, their story is wildly inspiring!! My moms from Cohoes, NY and my fathers from Imperial, Missouri, and let me tell you, having them as parents is having the best of both worlds, city and country. They met at such a young age and got married less than a year of knowing each other. They have packed up and started over a thousand times in different states and I love that they never lost sight of being each other’s solid partner before anything else. They are the best couple and best people I know!
What accomplishment from your time at The Mailworks are you most proud of?
Moving up from qcing countless wedding invitations to be able to sell our new realtor program!
What is your favorite thing about yourself?
My ambition to be the best version of myself and my leadership skills to always take the first initiative to do something new.
Tell us about your previous professional experience.
I went to college for Arts Management to be in event design and production. I loved creating spaces where people enjoyed themselves and the company around them. I have always enjoyed working in customer service or hospitality. Making people feel relatable to me is one of my strengths. I am 100% a people person.
How would you describe yourself to someone who’s never met you?
Loud, outgoing brunette who will most likely overwhelm you at first but she means well and will always get the job done! 🙂
Do you have any hidden talents?
I have danced since I was 2 years old. I switched from studio to competitive dance for tap, jazz and hip hop from 13 to 22 years old. I loved it and I definitely feel like being able to perform in front of people at a young age has helped me become a great salesperson today!
