What is something surprising about you that many people might not know?
I’m a good cook. My favorite meal to cook is lemon shrimp risotto. My wife loves my cooking.

What do you do on a typical weekend?
Relax and do whatever my wife wants to do. We like to go out to the lake and do some kayaking and walk on the track. 

What is your best piece of career advice?
Be on time every day.

Where is your favorite place you’ve ever traveled to?
Ogunquit, Maine. We go there every year. We go whale watching and it’s walking distance to the beach. We love going there. 

How would you describe The Mailworks culture in 3 words?
Fun work environment

What person, fictional or real, has inspired you the most?
My father. Everything about him inspires me. He has always been my best friend. He is the one who got me into this business.

What accomplishment from your time at The Mailworks are you most proud of?
In the over 8 years I’ve worked here, I’ve only called in sick one time. I sprained my ankle, so I had to call in sick. I actually came in the next day and they sent me home because it was so swollen.

What is your favorite thing about working at The Mailworks? 

The people by far. Everyday is better when you love the people you work with.

What is something surprising about you that many people might not know?

I’m a big Boston Bruins fan! I grew up in a family that loved/played hockey and it stuck. Some of my favorite memories are at Bruins games, I can’t wait to be able to go again.

Peggy Olson from Mad Men. A secretary made copywriter turned copy chief on Madison Ave in the 60s. She’s a total bad a**! “If you don’t like what they’re saying, change the conversation”

What accomplishment from your time at The Mailworks are you most proud of? 

Developing our brand to better connect and serve our customers. Although we still have a ways to go, I’m proud of the progress we have made together in the last 6 months or so, and I’m excited about the plans and possibilities in months and years to come!

Meet Tina Palmieri, a member of our production team who has been with The Mailworks for over 20 years! Find out something surprising about her, her favorite place she’s ever traveled, and the person who has inspired her the most.

Where is your favorite place you’ve ever traveled to?
Hawaii. I was very young when I went and I loved the scenery and beaches. It was so nice to get out of the city.

What person, fictional or real, has inspired you the most?
My mom. She worked, just like I do now. She has always been a really hard worker, which I really admire. She is the one who brought me into this business.

How would you describe yourself to someone who’s never met you?
Kind and very honest.

What is something surprising about you that many people might not know?

I always try to help people out with money, even if I don’t have it. Also, I really hate to ask for help even if I really need it.

Do you have any hidden talents?
I do mosaic drawings to create art!

I am called GiGi by two very awesome grandkids.

The “family” atmosphere.  

What do you do on a typical weekend? 

Love spending time with my family.  We like to watch movies outside around the campfire, bike riding, camping in our backyard with the grandkids and just finding new adventures to explore together.

What is your best piece of career advice? 

Don’t ever let fear hold you back.

Where is your favorite place you’ve ever traveled to? 

A family trip to the Bahamas. It was a very long time ago, but it has never been forgotten.  My dream is to one day take our grandkids there, as well.  

How would you describe The Mailworks culture in 3 words? 

Family-Oriented, Collaborative and Innovative.

What person, fictional or real, has inspired you the most?  

My Mom…She never gives up on anything or anyone.  She is a widow, a cancer survivor, was a single mom for several years and experienced a lot of bumps and bruises along the way, but she never never gave up.  She taught me how to constantly look to God for strength, continually push forward, always be thankful and always forgive along the way.

Employee Spotlight: Q&A with Tyler Suarez, Graphic Designer at The Mailworks

Meet Tyler Suarez, a graphic designer who joined The Mailworks team in July! Find out what he does on a typical weekend, his best piece of career advice and his favorite thing about himself.

What do you do on a typical weekend?

My typical weekend consists of hanging out with my local or online friends. From there we either go out for some drinks, have board game nights or start/continue our DND campaigns.

What is your best piece of career advice?

Always have a willingness and need to learn. Every career is consistently evolving with new practices or technology. Staying current with these changes not only keeps you prepared but an invaluable individual in your chosen career path.

What is your favorite thing about yourself?

My ability to take criticism both professionally and personally. Professionally, when I have a design that is criticized I take it in stride and make the adjustments necessary without impacting my mental state. Personally, I was criticized in the past for my lifestyle in being more into tech and gaming things. I never let this perception ever get me down and surround myself with people who I related to.

Tell us about your previous professional experience.

When I lived in Connecticut I worked as a Graphic Designer for a beer distributor known as G&G Beverage Inc.. There I would create signs, posters, table tents, window decals, etc of various beer brands that we distributed to our customers. I made designs for a number of different beer brands such as Coors Light, Sam Adams, Guinness, Sierra Navada, the list goes on.

Do you have any hidden talents?

I have a hobby in making 3D models with various 3D modeling softwares such as Blender and Unity. I typically make characters but from time to time I either make small assets or at one time made a whole house from scratch.

That I have a twin brother and I am the youngest of 11 children.

Meet Stacy Brewbaker, a Client Advisor who has been working here at The Mailworks for over 5 years. Find out something surprising about her, her favorite place she’s ever traveled, and her favorite thing about herself.

What is something surprising about you that many people might not know?

I was a nationally ranked roller skater when I was younger! I learned how to walk and roller skate at the same time. 

What is your favorite thing about working at The Mailworks?

My favorite thing about working at The Mailworks is the people, hands down! We have a family-like culture. 

What do you do on a typical weekend?

On a typical weekend you would find me at any live music event! My favorite is going down to NYC/Brooklyn and listening to house music!

What is your best piece of career advice?

Always be willing to learn new things. Take on the tasks that will challenge you! 

Where is your favorite place you’ve ever traveled to?

In 2017 I traveled to Gilli Trawangan which is a small island off the coast of Lombok in South East Asia. I visited here for 5 days while I was on a 2 week backpacking adventure between Bali and Lombok. While I was there I received my PADI Scuba Diving Certification.

What is your favorite thing about yourself?

I am always down to have a good time no matter where or what situation I am in. I am very easy going!

Do you have any hidden talents?

I was a ballperson for the City Open in Washington DC which is part of the Tennis US Open Series. I did this for over 7 years and have been on court with tennis legends like Andy Roddick, John Isner, Andy Murray, The Bryan Brothers, Lleyton Hewitt and so many more. I can catch a tennis serve at an average speed of 120mph.

Take it easy and relax. I like to take a little hike or go for a bike ride.

Save as much money as you can.

Michael Jordan. He inspires me because he never gave up and always did his best. He’s a winner.

Being here for over 5 years.

Tell us about your previous professional experience.

I used to be a Little League Baseball umpire for almost 5 years. It was really fun, besides getting hit in the legs a couple times. I miss it sometimes.

Meet Craig Delehanty, an Account Manager who has been working here at The Mailworks for nearly eight years. Find out something surprising about him, his favorite place he’s ever traveled, and the accomplishment that makes him the most proud.

What is something surprising about you that many people might not know?  

I was a referee for a National Flag Football tournament in 2018 that was televised on the NFL Network.  The Tournament featured some of the best flag teams in the country as well as teams made up of ex-NFL and NBA players.

Where is your favorite place you’ve ever traveled to? 

Walt Disney World in Florida – have visited 10 times. The 1st time was in 1978 when they only had one park and most recently in 2016 when we went as a family for my Mom’s 70th birthday

What person, fictional or real, has inspired you the most?      

 I am constantly inspired by the “Greatest generation”  I read a lot of history books, and every World War 2 book I read is full of average people (some just teenagers) doing extraordinary things in the face of certain death. People from all walks of life banded together to save the world.

What accomplishment from your time at The Mailworks are you most proud of? 

When FS Marketing teamed up with The Mailworks, our sales figures were always very solid, but over the course of 5 years we have seen those numbers double and then double again. A remarkable achievement in a pretty tough industry.

Employee Spotlight: Q&A with Brooke Fluegge, Client Advisor

Meet Brooke Fluegge, a Client Advisor who has been working here at The Mailworks for over two years. Find out something surprising about her, her favorite place she’s ever traveled, and the person who has inspired her the most.

What is something surprising about you that many people might not know?

Only the few people who know me well know that I love alternative rock music. I am absolutely obsessed with the band Third Eye Blind. I’ve seen them over 15 times in concert and traveled states to see them perform. I met the main singer, Stephan Jenkins when they came to Saratoga Performing Arts Center a few years back and I was literally speechless (which is not normal for me!). I even have a matching tattoo with my mom and sister of a line from one of their songs, “deeper than bones”, on my ribs! 

What is your favorite thing about working at The Mailworks?

The people who work here! We have such a range of personalities at The Mailworks and I love how everyone’s different but we have one thing in common, hard working!

What do you do on a typical weekend?

I am always looking up new restaurants to try. I am not a picky eater. I love trying new food! I enjoy seeing the different interior design work of places. I try to figure out what theme or style they are going for and see if that shows in their food. 

What is your best piece of career advice?

Growing up my dad, drilled into my head the saying, “What you do today affects tomorrow” it literally could apply to anything and I like that. I try to think of whatever I’m doing in the present, will I be satisfied by it in my future.

Where is your favorite place you’ve ever traveled to?

St Petersburg, Florida. We ended up here on a mystery trip through the company Pack Up And Go and ever since then I made it a rule to visit every year! It’s awesome! I absolutely love the street art, the food and culture there.

How would you describe The Mailworks culture in 3 words?

Fast paced, friendly, hard workers!

What person, fictional or real, has inspired you the most?

My parents, their story is wildly inspiring!! My moms from Cohoes, NY and my fathers from Imperial, Missouri, and let me tell you, having them as parents is having the best of both worlds, city and country.  They met at such a young age and got married less than a year of knowing each other. They have packed up and started over a thousand times in different states and I love that they never lost sight of being each other’s solid partner before anything else. They are the best couple and best people I know!

What accomplishment from your time at The Mailworks are you most proud of?

Moving up from qcing countless wedding invitations to be able to sell our new realtor program! 

What is your favorite thing about yourself?

My ambition to be the best version of myself and my leadership skills to always take the first initiative to do something new.

Tell us about your previous professional experience.

I went to college for Arts Management to be in event design and production. I loved creating spaces where people enjoyed themselves and the company around them. I have always enjoyed working in customer service or hospitality. Making people feel relatable to me is one of my strengths. I am 100% a people person.

How would you describe yourself to someone who’s never met you?

Loud, outgoing brunette who will most likely overwhelm you at first but she means well and will always get the job done! 🙂

Do you have any hidden talents?

I have danced since I was 2 years old. I switched from studio to  competitive dance for tap, jazz and hip hop from 13 to 22 years old. I loved it and I definitely feel like being able to perform in front of people at a young age has helped me become a great salesperson today!
